Faith Devotionals Ministries

Faith Devotionals Ministries is a registered Faith Based Organisation governed by a Board of Directors and chaired by the Founder and Visionary Pastor Linda Makhubo. The ministry aims to spread the Word of God and win souls for Jesus Christ through platforms such as: Evangelical Crusades; Conferences; Seminars; Books; Devotional Magazines and other Social Media platforms. Furthermore, we are committed to sharing the love of God by bringing hope and healing to those challenged by life’s circumstances and being a blessing to those who are in need through the Faith Foundation: A Foundation that is dedicated becoming a blessing to humanity and making a difference in the lives of those who are less fortunate.

“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”

Thoughts on the verse

Friends God has plans for each and every one of us. We all have a God given destiny to fulfil. The Giver of our destinies is encouraging us to take steps of faith towards the future He has planned for us. God knows things that we do not know about ourselves. For instance, when He calls us to do a specific task, no matter how complicated the task may seem, God knows that He has already given us what it takes to fulfil that task. That is because the task is part of His divine plan for our lives. He knows that we have all the qualities we need to succeed. This does not necessarily mean that we will not go through hardships, suffering or pain. God gives us assurance that His plans are not to harm us but to give us hope and a future.

Therefore child of God, whatever you are going through today just know that God allows it to happen in order to strengthen your character in preparation for a prosperous future. God is with you and as a child of God you should always remember that you have a loving Father whose plans are to prosper you and to give you hope and a future.

Let us pray!

Heavenly Father, we come to you in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. We thank you God for such wonderful words of encouragement. We may not know all the plans that you have for our future God, but through your Word we know that Your plans are meant for our good. We pray that Your Word will remain in our hearts and strengthen us to never give up hope but continue on our journeys with hope for a brighter future. In the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.

“If you have any encouragement from being united with Christ, if any comfort from His love, if any fellowship with the Spirit, if any tenderness and compassion, then make my joy complete by being like–minded, having the same love, being one in spirit and purpose.”

Thoughts on the verse

As Christians, we sometimes we find ourselves faced with circumstances where we find it difficult to love, especially when we have been hurt terribly. The Apostle Paul is encouraging Christians to have the same attitude as that of Jesus Christ, an attitude of love. Jesus Christ continued to love irrespective of all the horrible things that were done to Him: the rejections; the unfair treatment; the betrayal; the torture and ultimately the crucifixion. Therefore Saints, when we find it hard to love others, especially those who hurt us, we should pray about love and think about the love that Christ has for us irrespective of what we do, what we have done and what we will do. This way we will be able to fill our minds and hearts with thoughts of love. When our hearts are filled with love, God blesses us with love and we also receive love in abundance from other people because loving does not only bless the receiver but it also blesses the giver! When we have love we have everything. Hence the Apostle Paul stated that “faith, hope, love abide… but the greatest of these is LOVE.”

“If you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain: ‘move to there!’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.”

Thoughts on the Verse

We often find ourselves faced with mountains of challenges hindering our paths and preventing us from moving forward towards achieving our goals. Today you may be facing a mountain blocking your view to a healthy and happy marriage; you may be facing a mountain of debts causing you to have sleepless nights; you may be facing a mountain blocking you from getting the promotion at work or a mountain of loneliness. Saints, whatever mountain you are facing today, our Lord Jesus Christ is encouraging you to have faith as little as a mustard seed. We all know how small a mustard seed is. Our Lord and Saviour is saying that with just a little faith in Him, you can move your mountain. By just believing in Him nothing will be impossible for you. Through Him, you already have a happy marriage; Through Him, that promotion is already yours. Anything that you ask in His name believing in your heart that you have received it, you have already received it. That is because in Him all things are possible.

Let us pray

Heavenly Father, we thank you for such powerful words of encouragement. Thank you again God for all the mountains that you are going to move today through our faith in Jesus Christ. May the Holy Spirit continue to guide us in our daily walk with Christ and always remind us to leave all the challenges that we do not have control over in your hands in order for you to handle them on our behalf. We pray that your love, grace and mercy will abide in us forever and ever. In Jesus’ Name we pray Amen!

“Come,” he said. Then Peter got down out of the boat, walked on the water and came toward Jesus. But when he saw the wind, he was afraid and, beginning to sink, cried out, “Lord, save me!”

It is our Faith in God that enables us to step out and do extraordinary things; things that others would not be willing to do. Peter was the only one who stepped out of the boat in Faith and walked on water. However as soon as he removed his eyes from Jesus Christ he drowned, but Jesus saved him.

When it is time to step out of your comfort zone you will have to focus on Jesus! When it is time to step into unfamiliar territories you will have to focus and don’t let fear destruct you. You have been given the spirit of power, love and a sound mind.

Don’t get intimidated by circumstances around you; don’t listen to negative voices telling you that you won’t make it. Have Faith! Focus on Jesus the Author and Perfecter of your Faith (Hebrews 12:2). Jesus Christ is with you and He is calling you to step out in Faith!

Fix your eyes on Him!

“I therefore, a prisoner for the Lord, urge you to walk in a manner worthy of the calling to which you have been called”

Let us choose this day to recommit ourselves to continue to live a life worthy of the calling we have received from God.

Be kind, gentle, and humble. Honour God with the gifts of grace He has given to us.

Be stewards of peace and unity, being patient with others and love them with the same love that we have received from God; just like Jesus Christ did when He was on earth.

“… And who knows whether you have come to the kingdom for such a time as this?”

When it is time, it is time! When it is time to step into your rightful position, it is time!

Fear will make your body tremble, anxiety will fill your heart, uncertainty and doubt will haunt your spirit but take heart because you have been chosen for such a time as this. You have been equipped with the Spirit of power, love and a sound mind.

When it is time, you will know it in your spirit because you have been born for it. You will feel it in your inner core because it was put on the inside of you long before the foundations of the earth. You’ve always known it’s there, only a glimpse of it has been revealed in your spirit but you weren’t sure of what it was because it was not yet the time.

You still had to grow into it, groomed, strengthened and prepared for it because it comes with a huge responsibility. To whom much is given much is required.

Take note: Not only is this a position of power and authority but it is your greater calling and purpose for your life, it is your Divine destiny!

Yes, it is your destiny and the time is now!

Now is the time to rise and shine for your light has come. The Glory of the Lord rises upon you. Nations will come to your light and Kings to the brightness of your dawn (Isaiah 60:4).

Now is the time to take your rightful place in the Kingdom of God and wear your Crown with honor, dignity and with humility.

Now it is the time to fulfill your God given destiny!

There’s no need to be afraid, no need to worry, no need to doubt because you have been born for this. You have been equipped and armed with the full Amour of God! You are bold and courageous. You are fearfully and wonderfully made in the image of your Creator, No weapon formed against you shall prosper!

You’ve got what it takes! You’ve got this!

He’s got you!

You were born for it! Go for it!

“Charm is deceptive, and beauty is fleeting; but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised”

It is the fear of the Lord that shapes our character; neither our charm nor our beauty.

A beautiful woman without character is like a gold jewel in a pig’s nose (Proverbs 11:22). No matter how beautiful that piece of jewel is, its beauty will not matter if it is on a pig’s nose.

Like a perfect woman described in Proverbs 31, let us do our best ladies to fear the Lord, believe the Bible absolutely fully and obey it in every area of our lives.

Our families/ husbands will praise us and our children will rise and call us blessed.
