THE FRUITS OF GRAZING TURNED INTO INGESTION OVER A DECADE

By Carol Mpawu

Glory be to God Most High as Godly Women in Service (GWIS) House of Prayer Ministry is turning a decade old.  As members of GWIS feel much obliged to God our notable Creator who ordained and qualified us to be stewards worthy of carrying and advancing GWIS from foundation to perpetuity according to His promises.

The 10 years of existence stand in agreement with the 10 years of grace to be consequently celebrated on the 25th August 2021. Prophetically, we at GWIS believe that the number 10 signifies a man’s responsibility to keep commandments of law in completeness of order. The same coincides with our founding scripture Joshua 1: 8 which says that “if you keep the book of law always on your lips meditate on it day and night, be careful to do everything written in it, then you will be prosperous and successful.”

Albeit that when I was called to be a vision bearer, I was a new convent grazing to grow spiritually, little did I envision myself to be elected by God into ingestion and put His presence where women gathered in the name of empowerment.  Our first gathering occurred in August which is a Women’s month which shows that the most effective kind of empowerment cannot happen outside the residence of God.  My testimony encourages us all to use whatever gift we have received to serve others as faithful stewards of God’s grace. My journey is an attestation that God can use anyone and anyhow to serve in His Kingdom (1Peter 4:10-11).

I was saved in 2010, and consequently GWIS was birthed in 2012. That in essence meant that as a newly appointee servant of God, l acquired knowledge through observing God’s work that was demonstrated by staunch women of God  that walked with the Lord; to mention a few Bishop Anastasia Raisibe Makwakwa of Revival Ministry and Pastor Francinah Baloyi of Praise Tarbanacle Church  from Soshanguve, who both became my pillars of strength.

Over the period of 10 years, God has done more miraculous deeds within our journey through the assistance of our destiny helpers. We birthed an in house GWIS Youth Ministry, we collaborated with an Orphanage that taught us how to participate in community outreach. Our gatherings met the expectation of putting God’s work into diverse women’s gathering and above all God robed us into a new responsibly of teaching women how to fraternize the word of God with the laws of the land.

The message sent across, is that, if we women were to put God first in everything we do to enrich our lives, we will never be last.  Women of God need to continue to bear the burdens of other believers (Galatians 6:2). To all women and men of the cloth, brethren’s and all our beloved that unfailingly devoted their time and diverse spiritual expertise in keeping our calling and the work of God alive, we thank you.  As years went by your prayers helped us to unwaveringly grow, your efforts do not go unnoticed, as the Lord continue to shine His face upon you.
